BLACKHAWK COUNTRY CLUB

Established in 1979, Blackhawk Country Club is a highly exclusive 4,800 acre (19 km2) country club community at the base of Mt. Diablo where luxurious residential neighborhoods are surrounded by thousands of acres of permanent open lands. 2,000 acres (8 km2) of land was designated for expansion of Mt. Diablo State Park, never to be developed. 1,000 more acres (4 km2) was allocated to natural hillside, parks, golf courses and sports fields dedicated to the betterment of the community. The community also has a 25 acre (100,000 m2) sports and recreation center including basketball courts, outdoor volleyball courts, a children’s play park, olympic-sized pool, sports fields and an amphitheater.
